LANSING, Mich. — State Sen. Marty Knollenberg joined Kirk in the Hills Church last week in hosting a National Vietnam War Veterans Day worship service.

The event featured Scripture readings and a brief sermon honoring Vietnam veterans. Knollenberg also presented Vietnam War Commemorative Lapel Pins to participating veterans.

“The event was meant to show appreciation for the sacrifices these men and women made so many years ago,” said Knollenberg, R-Troy. “Those who served in Vietnam deserved better treatment when returning home. It’s long overdue to give a proper thanks and show our gratitude for their service.”
