LANSING, Mich. — State Sen. Marty Knollenberg, R-Troy, announced on Monday he will join Kirk in the Hills Church Thursday to host a National Vietnam War Veterans Day worship service.

The service will recognize America’s Vietnam veterans and thank them for their endless sacrifices. It will include Scripture readings and a brief sermon honoring Vietnam veterans.

Knollenberg also will be presenting Vietnam War Commemorative Lapel Pins to eligible veterans. Eligible veterans include any living veteran who served in the U.S. armed forces at any time from Nov. 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975, regardless of location.

The event will be held at the following date, time and location:

Bloomfield Hills

The event is open to all veterans, Kirk in the Hills members, friends, family and members of the community. To receive a pin, eligible veterans should RSVP to Shawn Ciavattone in Knollenberg’s office at SCiavattone@senate.michigan.gov, or 586-863-8280.
