LANSING, Mich. — State Sen. Marty Knollenberg joined several Senate colleagues at a roundtable discussion with Rachael Denhollander and Sterling Riethman to hear their accounts of sexual assault and discuss further preventative measures that can be taken here in Michigan.
“These young ladies were victimized by someone in an authoritative position and by someone they trusted,” said Knollenberg, R-Troy. “I respect the courage it took to come forward and share their traumatizing experiences. This discussion is the first step in preventing these kind of horrific things from happening again.”
Denhollander and Riethman are victims of Dr. Larry Nassar, who has pleaded guilty to several sexually related offenses.
